Do you have PrevX installed (possibly from Give Away of the Day a few weeks ago)?

Yes, pops, I still have it. In fact I did a full scan with it earlier today. It said that there was one malicious find.

This was how it was described when I checked on-line through there link ...

IGDTOOLX.DLL

Disagree with this determination?

This dynamic link library has a file size of 150,368 bytes, it is most frequently called IGDTOOLX.DLL and is most frequently located in the %windir%\downloaded program files\ folder.

The file header contains the following information:

Vendor : Microsoft Corporation

Product: IGDToolx - IGD Test tool

Version: 1.3.5.

This file is considered unsafe. It was first seen on Saturday, Jun 2 2007. It has been seen frequently by 32 users in this section of the community. The file has only been seen in AUSTRALIA.

IGDTOOLX.DLL has yet to be seen running in this section of the community.

IGDTOOLX.DLL has been the subject of the following behavior:

- Process creation

- Added as an ActiveX component

- Registered as a Dynamic Link Library File

- Deleted as an ActiveX component

When the verification was complete, I did the Clean Up process.

Do you have Prevx 1 or 2 installed? There is a new build for Prevx 2 (1.0.2.82) available.

Also, contacting Prevx support from inside Prevx is very easy, and they tend to respond very quickly.

Thanks Pat.

I think it was version 2, downloaed very recently when I was alerted to a problem with AVG.

I uninstalled it to prove to myself that it was Prevx causing the error message....

It was. All clear now. :)
