nellie2
The UK government today launched an on-line campaign to tackle cyber-bullying. To start with the campaign feature on social networking sites like MySpace, Bebo and Yahoo and aims to challenge young peoples views and feelings about cyber bullying, whether they just know about it or take part in it.Laugh at it, and you are part of it
catgate
Why have they not thought of the use of the usual method of discouragement and revenue generation favoured by most governments. Tax the use of mobiles and computers by juveniles. I suspect most of it is not bullying but is probably imagination engendered by not being able to read or write properly. nellie2
I think you are missing the point. Bullying isn't something that is done by an unknown person.Bullies are people you know, people you see everyday. Changing your email address, turning off your phone or closing down your MySpace site isn't going to make the problem go away. And what about so-called 'happy slapping' where videos are taken of the person being bullied or made a fool of and posted on the net?? It's easy to say 'oh just ignore it and it will go away', but unfortunately it's not that simple. :(If you have some time perhaps you would like to take a look at a couple of the YouTube video's I've linked to below.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YxKYU3SIDhIhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZCMKr4lJi24...ted&search=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XyvCEGkroT4...ted&search=
