andsome Posted October 12, 2007 Report Share Posted October 12, 2007 The companies claim that these numbers are cheaper than telephoning during the day from an exchange far away from their exchange. Certainly, with the telephone package that we have with Virgin, this is NOT the case. All our land line calls 24/7 are free, having paid a once only monthly charge, so these so called low cost calls actually cost us money. Therefore we always use a geographical number where possible.
