Mike567 Posted February 27, 2008 Report Share Posted February 27, 2008 So I said i need my laptop soon due to my course starting, so I asked when I can get it back as I need it.guess what the reply was!?You will be seeing it very soon .I will remove the new system board and wi-fi card and screen inverter I will remove all the screws and return it the same way it was recieved in bits..dont fuk with me son..i just lost my lad due to brain cancer and think i give a fuk about your laptop..will refund you now and post your laptop back tomorrow..now dont bother me again.What the hell am I supposed to do, I can understand him being rude due to loosing his son.But after having paid what the hell am I supposed to do, what I take it I'm loosing all my parts and getting back the case?I got refunded £35 considering I payed £40?I really want to rant but you cant in his situation, I sympathise with him 100%! No wonder he is in a pickle, it was a job he could not afford to do. But he had not got the decency to say so?Looks like another of life's little cruel lessons. Will I be seeing it soon, ideally I need it before next week before I start the intense work.I dunno why that would cause him to reply with "don't fuk with me son" was my message being impolite?I think he is being legit with his son dieing due to all his messages, his son was going into brain sergery that was a week ago I believe and now he has passed on.I don't want to get him involved if he is not in the right frame of mind, as people do a lot of stupid things at that point. You appear to have his name and address.2. Look up the local newspaper for his area.3. Look through the Obituaries for the period before you sent him your laptop, and for the period after he informed you his Son had died and see if you can get a name match.No one that I know of does not post a death in the local paper of a family member.Exactly what you do after that is up to you.One way or another you may be able to at least find out whether he is genuine or not.
