seansba Posted March 28, 2008 Report Share Posted March 28, 2008 Here is my situation: I installed TweakUI to see what it had to offer but I ended up uninstalling it. I'm not sure what I did but I changed something because the next time I boot up, my user profile is gone. I can still see the folder in C:\documents and settings, but I don't get an option to log in/modify this profile. Is there anything I can do to reapply the settings from this profile? So basically, my question is, can I make a new profile with the settings from my old profile?I had some important documents on my old profile that I cannot access anymore. Watchful Posted March 28, 2008 Report Share Posted March 28, 2008 Win XP automatically sets a restore point when changes are made. Have you looked into it?Control Panel, Performance & Maintenance, System Restore top left.I have it in my list of programmes but have only used it once. I also don't see an uninstall for it. Be very careful using the User Accounts Dialog Box that comes up, it's extremely powerful.
