AlanHo
After booting my computer this morning, the USB mouse cursor kept dashing abouit the screen virtually uncontrollably. I could not shut down via the mouse and had to use the computer reset button. I then tried a reboot using safe mode - still the same.I then booted from my Acronis recovery disk to restore back to last week - but the mouse still had a mind of its own and it was very difficult to operate Acronis. After much faffing about I managed to restore the computer using Acronis and all is well again. The question is - what could have been the problem...? andsome
Have a look in ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS and see if Crazy Mouse has been downloaded and installed. If it does not show up there SEARCH for Crazy Mouse.HERE
-pops-
Do you have a graphics tablet (Wacom or similar) Alan? You can get mouse misbehaviour if you have the stylus of the graphics pad near, or on, the pad itself and then try to use the mouse. rong
Try changing the usb if it happens again, this has worked with another PC I help with that used to wander about the screen, but if I remember right his would be all right for a short time after a reboot.
