-pops-
US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice"This is not 1968 and the invasion of Czechoslovakia, where Russia can threaten a neighbour, occupy a capital, overthrow a government and get away with it. Things have changed...Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm................................ Iraq?Short memories when it suits.Quote from http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/europe/7556857.stm
andsome
I abhor what is happening there, but it really is a case of six of one and a half dozen of the other. Georgia wanted and gained its freedom from Russia with the collapse of the Soviet Union. Now a couple of places want freedom from Georgia, and they don't like it. The sufferers as usual are the innocent.
catgate
It was quite a long time before I realised that Condoleezza Rice was not just another type of Uncle Ben's.
AlanHo
I bet GWB is under the illusion that the Russians have attacked Georgia in the USA. Hence all the fuss.
