catgate
I happened to switch on TV later this evening and saw three experts and a pundit chewing over Cyclops, his disasterous "reign" of terror and the awful economic fall-out therefrom. I then switched stations and saw tales of the channel tunnel fire. (Seems odd to me that they do not appear to have a sprinkler system....strange really because they have an ample water supply just over head). Then the XL airline/holiday fiasco cropped up and was disected. We next got Barmy Obama and co. Then some more expert opinion about the futile Brownian "initiative" to get everone's legs lagged and injected, with whatever is to hand and cheap. Then relief. A deep sence of security returned. DFS are still selling sofas.........although 'sale must end next week'.
Gandalph
DFS are always having sales. One finishes on the Friday then the next one starts on the Saturday. Sounds like a barmy lot to me. :D
Watchful
All the world's queer (barmy) save thee and me; and even thee's a little queer (barmy) Alternative words displayed for those who observe PC. DFS having their permanent sale seems strangely comforting.
andsome
We only used DFS once for a small casual table. We waited four months for delivery. Never again.
catgate
We only used DFS once for a small casual table. How smart and formal does such a piece of furnitue have to become before it stops being refered to as casual? And, since you are a connoisseur of such things, perhaps you can enlighten me as to what an occasional table does between those occasions when it is being a table.
