artist
Almost a waste of time! The only positive thing was the exray showed there is a problem on the inner side of the knee. All it was really, was another assessment clinic. The chap came in and asked if I'd had any trauma on the knee. - NoHave I recently had an exray. - 10 minutes ago.Trotted out to see it.Told me the knee doesn't need a total replacement as the wear is only on one side.Perhaps an injection would help? - I've had two.Probably can't do another.Perhaps an exploratory operation? - My GP told me there is sometimes more trouble after those and anyway it would only prove the arthritis is there.I expect a partial knee replacement would help. I'll refer you to the knee surgeons. What a waste of resources - I knew most of that from my GP and the physio chap. I waited 2 months for that appointment and it will be another 6-8 weeks before the next one I expect.I looked up the partial knee replacement and fee quite positive about it - doesn't seem such a big deal as the total. The only snag is that it says there could be a problem if I need a total replacement later.
