Also, pictures mostly look like depressed boxes and some have a red cross in them. :( Last night, I tried to run Trend Homecall, but it just wouldn't load. I then tried Kaspersky, which did load, but the results were absolutely clear.The only recent installation I have done, is MS Office Enterprise 2007.My PC is Intel Pentium P4 2.53MHz, 1.5BG RAM.Any suggestions as to what might be amiss would be appreciated? (Start -> Run -> cmd, then ping www.google.com)My average ping for google.com is about 150ms, if yours is significantly slower, then it may simply be your Internet connection. Absolutely no trace of any problem.I am wondering if it has anything to do with my recent installation of Office Enterprise 2007.I believe that I have disabled Desktop search, for which I have no requirement.When I open WF, I use IE7, but there are other websites which I access through Firefox.It's all very confusing. Please re-boot your computer normally and, before opening any program, try the following:Start > All Programs > Mozilla Firefox > Mozilla Firefox (Safe Mode) A window called Firefox Safe Mode with some troubleshooting options appears. Do NOT select any of the options. Click the Continue in Safe Mode button.Try using Firefox (Safe Mode). Is it working more quickly than you normally find?
