Hb_Kai Posted December 16, 2008 Report Share Posted December 16, 2008 I've been scouring the internet for a while now looking for a decent and totally free spyware removal tool, the best I've come up with is Spyware Doctor and XoftSpySE which claims to be free until you finished a search and then have to buy a License Key, and with Spy...Doc.. I'm getting loads of problems like it starting on Windows Startup even after me not allowing it, the updates aren't working, and it's a real pain in my leg!Does anyone know a good Spyware removal tool?Not, S&D by the way - It's not getting rid of the thing I want it too. Or AVG, or Comodo, or Trend Micro. I'm beginning to feel like it's not actually a virus. I know it is though! EDIT:- And not Lavasoft's AdAware! Dencandy Posted December 16, 2008 Report Share Posted December 16, 2008 You could try the ESET free on-line scanner (HERE) or even the 30-day trial of the full product. If ESET/NOD32 doesn't find the spyware then it probably doesn't exist. There's also the excellent Spyware Terminator free edition (THERE) which has many useful features & no annoying nag screens. You can have it as a real-time adware monitor or simply as a scanner. I use it on my laptop.I'm sure others will suggest some more which they recommend from personal use.
