What a strange thing

I normaly do quite a good proportion of the cooking, but for a while now I have done only a restricted amount, due to the leg problem. Yesterday morning, as I lay awake, for some reason or other I thought of Lasagne, and realised that it was quite some time since we had partaken thereof, and so I was going to mention it to management, but then I realised that she had enough to do without making pasta. In fact she never makes it. I always do it. We got a pasta rolling machine many years ago and so we always have fresh home made pasta, and it is a bit fiddly. So I said nothing.

She was going into York to Sainsbury's after breakfast and so I stayed in bed and off she went.

Time for our evening meal eventually came, by which time I had got up and was sat here at the keyboard. I happened to glance over into the kitchen and saw management grating some hard Italian cheese into a dish. I smiled and remembered my thoughts earlier in the day, and wondered what she was preparing.

Not long after I was presented with a dish of Lasagne. I was flabbergasted, as was management when I told her the story.

She said she had thought about it before she left home, and had picked up some premade dried pasta in Sainsbury's.

Well it could be coincidence.
