Thank you chaps.

Odd that it does not work for me. I can get on to the site and click on the little start up triangle but that is where the story ends.

I can use Namesco tester with no problem.

I wonder if I have something turned off. All the Thunderbird. plugins and addons seem to be set correctly.

I must have another go at tinkering with mi grommits!

Did you click on the button that says "START TEST TO RECOMMENDED SERVER ..."? Maybe you should change to a different server nearby, by clicking on one of the blue pyramids.

My default server is in Yokohama, but the result is extremely slow. It also takes a very long time for the test to complete. When I click on the Okinawa server - some 1500 km away - it is very much faster.

Yes it works

It's good and dowload is faster than upload.

Thank you for that.

I am glad I waited for your reply without being to precipitate in my action to rectify the problem.

I wonder why download is faster than upload????????

When Tiscali took over my last service provider I quite often got faster uploads than downloads which is why I got rid of them

When Tiscali took over the service provider I was using some time ago I often got neither uploads or downloads at any speed, which is why I got rid of the too.
