It was on raspberries, as you can see.Our trusty Collins guide to things that creep and wriggle and crawl is no help, and Googling has not revealed anything. There was a suggestion of an immature Green Shield Beetle (as opposed to a Greenshield stamp beetle) but there were no pictures of such a creature. The pictures on the web show something very similar to our above native types, but larger.When I first saw it I thought it to look a bit like the Ladybug, or Ladybird as different people call them. The makings put me off that idea though. I have never seen those makings on a Ladybug and I've seen quite a lot of them on various Nature Reserves.
