Mandrake Linux 9.1 - I'm Connected!

I'm now on Madrake Linux 9.1 fully hooked up to the internet and posting this message at nearly 5am (thats in the morning).

From help from "paul" from pca i got the o/s connected to the net on me usb modem!

What a day it's been...

Yeah i am HAPPY!

Heres the proof...

Ummm...You only need 3 of em!

Actually one is all that is needed but what you get would very simple and booring!

So 3 is needed for all (nearly all) the software...

It would take around 4 hours to download 1 iso image with my 512 connection so 12 hours in total ;)

About 15 minutes burn time...

Quicker (although a £5) to buy the DVD edition and burn the images of the DVD.

Or i could copy my 3 CD's and send them ya ;)

i got asked our specialist (redhat) but he couldn't find one either!!

WOW!

On PCA there was a subject started on this and yes it was found to be incompatiable.

Actually the start of that thread allowed me to connect to the net using mandrake via the help from paul ;)

New modem?
