AlanHo
I suspect that Craig is advertising for new forum members in that well known magazine "Archaeologists Times"We have seen a number of recent new members go digging for very old threads, add an irrelevent comment, clean their trowels then vanish back into the ether, never to be seen again. Some - but not all - bring with them advertising material which the mods confiscate. But what is the agenda of the others.......?........
-pops-
There are a lot that you never see as well. I am very free with the delete key with members who are not who they try to be. Even so, they still get through. There are some this morning. I must be in a good mood as I've only deleted their advert signatures but, their time on here is limited, I'm sure.An answer to a thread appeared as I was writing this. Are these members unaware that we can see their IP addresses? Request and reply from the same source.
AlanHo
I appreciate that people wishing to join the forum are presented with a half page of rules etc they have to sign up to.However - it may not be clear that new members are immediately scrutinised and will be ejected if they are here to post SPAM It may not stop 'em all - but may well put some of them off if they are only joining with a temporary agenda. Hb_Kai
I've noticed this too. Where are they all coming from?

What happens after that matters not, because they have gone somewhere else and laid another ...and another ..and...There is a difference I suppose, in that they are more like dogs fouling the pavement. I was going to mention cats but I thought it might provoke .....well you know what.

catgate
I am simply a member. Although it is difficult some times to remember, particularly so if membership becomes a hardship.Harold Hardisty was particularly strident in his dissertations on the problems caused by the in coming and outgoing of the diferent classes of entity, and being, that revolved around the classification of extemporisation between classes and types during the first Napoleonic war.It was held by many that his views, whilst being at first glance extensive, were also inclusive of exclusion, rather than adverse to mobility. Which of course was always his main thrust, even up to the time of the first sitting of the Council of Bruge.

catgate
Have you forgotten the pills again? or have you been taking the pills again? No, I was merely trying to describe the difficulty of growing rhubarb against the wind...as you well know.
