Swindling the pensioners again

This is an unjustifiable, unjust and unfair attack on a man trying to do his best with total transparency....... :censored:

I have had another listen to his speech and he quite clearly said he was putting the BASIC pension up by 2.5%. He did not mention the other components which we all understand make up the total pension.

It's typical of the liberal lot at the BBC to have a pot at a man when he's down.

Basically I can't wait for my 2.5% on the basic to arrive - I am already working on basic plans how to spend it on basic necessities...............................

By the time he introduces the 50 pence per Month Internet Tax there will a little less for you to spend.

Come on - don't be such a party pooper - allow my fantasy world to last a bit longer.

I would however confirm my belief that this government's skills got us into this parlous financial mess - and they are now applying the same skills and effort to remedy the problems they created in the first place. We should show more appreciation for their tenacity, consistency and endeavour.

The latest expenses revelations are a clear indication of the sacrifices MP's have made. Hence we should be happy to share the burden with a similar reduction in our benefits. I am happy to settle for a 2.5% increase on my basic pension less the 50p per month internet tax which will give me a net increase of £1.76 per week. If things get any better I don't think I will be able to stand it.

But we're relying on you lot to pay for everything, the only people with money to spare are pensioners, when you lot have run out of money or time we will really be in the mire
