artist Posted February 28, 2010 Report Share Posted February 28, 2010 I am getting blurred printing from just one folder - It's all my recipes and has a mixture of print and pictures.I have tested most of the other folders and all print clearly. Could it be just the one? How would that have happened? It was ok for printing before?I can't find anything relevent on the HP site... artist Posted February 28, 2010 Author Report Share Posted February 28, 2010 Most of them are scanned in from magazines. Some are in Word. I tried emailing one to myself and printing it with the same result.Looks like a dodgy folder.I have swapped this around from 'documents' to 'pictures' a few times so I can resize etc in PaintShop Pro - maybe that's the problem. AlanHo Posted February 28, 2010 Report Share Posted February 28, 2010 If you have saved them in jpg format - each time you save them in PSP, unless the options are set to "best quality", the quality of the image will be downgraded.Look at the file size in Explorer - if an A4 image is less than about 150 KB it will be a bit fuzzy.I can't explain why word docs are fuzzy though. catgate Posted February 28, 2010 Report Share Posted February 28, 2010 Could it possibly be that when you have copied them to .jpg format the resolution has been set too coarse i.e. too few dots per unit area. If the files are really damaged, then they wouldn't be recognized as valid jpeg formats.However, on that format: I have given up on jpeg images decades ago - too much loss of quality.
