I am having a problem with sending emails using Windows Live Mail. I have Windows 7 Premium. Every time I try to send an email from my main account I get an error message:

My link

I answer okay and then when it tries to send the email this comes up:

An unknown error has occurred.

Server: 'smtp.mail.yahoo.com '

Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x80070057

Protocol: SMTP

Port: 25

Secure(SSL): No

What should I do? Does anyone have a similar problem?

Thanks,

Jonah

I get that error sometimes. Live mail is a pain - it's not happy with sending too many pictures either - can't use animations from file - I want OE back!! I have the latest version and it's marginally better.

Get Thunderbird

Using Thunderbird, and firefox, exclusively now. the Mozbak facility is brilliant for both. Have used the Mozbak to transfer all the e-mails, address book, certificates, bookmarks and favourites from daughter's old XP machine to her new Win 7 machine. It was a doddle.
