bludgard
I believe I would choose the laptop I wanted and then figure out what type of connectors to use for the periphreals.Hope this helps.
-pops-
The specifications of plugs, sockets and everything else concerned with user access to your laptop will be available on the manufacturer's website.Plugs and sockets can vary from make to make and from model to of the same maker. It would be unsuitable and unfair of us to make a general recommendation.

bludgard
I'd used another's laptop and i don't like the screen --it's too low. a monitor is higher up.You could place the laptop on a higher level and use a wireless keyboard and/or mouse. Not likely that you will be lugging around a monitor with you anyway....Cheers
