Help!!! - What is this?

We moved house recently and we are gradually getting the new house in order.

Having lived out of cardboard boxes for several weeks - we now have a fully equipped kitchen and proper wardrobes in the bedroom. The garage is now only one third stuffed with unopened boxes.

Despite the onset of some orderliness - we still can't find certain things and we are coming across stuff we don't recognise as ours.

One example - which is "doin' me 'ed in" cuz I have no idea what it is - is a small component found on a bedroom window sill. We don't know whether we brought it here or whether it was left by the previous house owner.

It comprises a small aluminium or zinc casting into which is screwed a plastic part. The plastic component looks like a small sink drain - with a hole in the top surrounded by internal fins. However the hole is dead ended and no fluid could pass through.

The prize for coming up with the correct answer is to be gifted this part - you to pay postage......

Belt driven, looks like small impeller blades in the top, hose input, can be screwed into place.

Looks as though it may be something to do with colonic irrigation, or perhaps something used in the sex industry. Butt plug maybe ?

Found anything else sexually iffy in the property, or know the background of the last homeowners ?

I would hang on to that Alan. When you've got over the stress of moving I bet the pair of you will find a use for that. :)

I solved the problem.

Yesterday we had new fitted wardrobes installed in the main bedroom - plus new bedside cabinets and a corner unit for the TV.

Today we are having carpets fitted in the bedroom and to facilitate clearing the room of loose furniture I removed all the drawers from the bedside cabinets. I then spotted the mystery objects screwed inside the bottom of the cabinets in each corner. They are levelling screws - turm my photo upside down and all is revealed.

The furniture fitters must have left an odd one on the window cill.

Sorry to disappoint Maneman - but all nefarious uses are now out of contention.

You've won it Doug, - but you cant have it. In place you will be sent the usual furniture self levelling piece of cornflake box cardboard that gazunda bedside cabinets.
