chris18
Has anyone tried Immunet 3.0.? I am really tired of Norton 360. Really tired of it.... I mean realllllllly tired of it. :P
andsome
Never heard of it actually, but surely anything is better than Norton. I just wish you the best of luck in trying to completely get rid of it on your computer. I finally needed to reinstall Windows before I stopped getting pop ups asking me to update it. This was after several removal tools and the help of a Symantec techie.:)
-pops-
I've just installed, and am now running, Immunet.Looks good so far - it has found a trojan that has been missed in other scans. Whether it is real or just put in as a tempter, I don't know. The problem I have with lots of these A/V scanners is that they start off being very impressive and, just when you are used to them, an update or new version ruins all that you have become familiar with.I completely agree with your views on Norton - I think you will find lots of others with a similar opinion. Belatucadrus
I note the phrase " layer of protection that's compatible with existing antivirus " which implies that it's only an addition to traditional antivirus, not really a replacement.I've tested it in the past along with Threatfire and while I had no problems with them, came to the conclusion they were overkill as I trust my AV which is avast! -pops-
Uninstalled it.Any program that hogs 50+% CPU when supposedly idle does not get my vote.
