Never heard of it actually, but surely anything is better than Norton. I just wish you the best of luck in trying to completely get rid of it on your computer. I finally needed to reinstall Windows before I stopped getting pop ups asking me to update it. This was after several removal tools and the help of a Symantec techie.:)

I've just installed, and am now running, Immunet.

Looks good so far - it has found a trojan that has been missed in other scans. Whether it is real or just put in as a tempter, I don't know.

The problem I have with lots of these A/V scanners is that they start off being very impressive and, just when you are used to them, an update or new version ruins all that you have become familiar with.

I completely agree with your views on Norton - I think you will find lots of others with a similar opinion.

I note the phrase " layer of protection that's compatible with existing antivirus " which implies that it's only an addition to traditional antivirus, not really a replacement.

I've tested it in the past along with Threatfire and while I had no problems with them, came to the conclusion they were overkill as I trust my AV which is avast!
