lunaray
I lost my original installation disc to a program that I use all the time, so if I ever need to reinstall it, I won't be able to! My question is: is there a way to create an installation disc from the program that is installed on my hard drive? Is there a utility that can do this? Thanks! -pops-
I doubt that this is possible. When program installs it is distributed in different parts of the operating system such that you cannot recover as a complete, workable unit. Belatucadrus
I used to have a software uninstaller that claimed to be able to create a new installable archive copy of any program but it never really worked.
ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
Depending on the software, you may be able to download it again, and use the original serial number / product key?
lunaray
Depending on the software, you may be able to download it again, and use the original serial number / product key? It's Adobe Audition and Adobe isn't very customer-friendly when it comes to things like this, whether I have a legitimate serial number or not! bludgard
... the original serial number / product key?... a legitimate serial number or not! Seems to be something lost in translation.... And you are quite right about Adobe software; it is not usually free....Give a ring if you figure out how to do it, then maybe we could compose a tutorial with movies inbedded.
