kismetk
Hello When my husband logs in (Windows 7 Home Premium) he sometimes finds that an application has a window open - it appears to be an updater for Pareto Logic , and there is a process Pareto_Update3.exe running. Is this someting to be concerned about? Should it be removed? I can't see it in Uninstall Programs. Thanks for your help
AlanHo
If you use Google search for Pareto Logic you will find a lot of information about this so-called anti malware tool. You will also find descriptions of how to remove it. It seems that quite a few people have had problems such as yours.
Belatucadrus
Pareto Logic is a software house, here is a list of their current product range, do any of them ring a bell ? Have to say I'm with AlanHo and wouldn't give any of their software space on my hard drive.
Irene
Here are a couple of links which you might find useful:http://www.ehow.com/how_5011787_remove-paretologic.html http://www.ehow.com/how_7520625_completely-remove-paretologic-drivercure.html
kismetk
I can't see any of the ParetoLogic products in Uninstall Programs. There are however 3 scheduled tasks - ParetoLogicRegistration3, ParetoLogicUpdateVersion3 and ParetologicUpdateVersion3StartUpTask. Googling removal seems to suggest various removal tools - but which is best? Thank you!
