Ray Sergi
Did you mean your CCleaner App doesn't work with Windows 7/8? Could you mind Taking for some screenshot and more detail information? Its maybe due an uncompatible version of CCleaner with your new OS. I Use Advanced System Care Ultimate and its work with Windows 7 (Probably 8 too), x32 and x64 seems greet the app smoothly. Boris
I have been told that it is not required to use CCleaner with Windows 7/8 So I am asking for comments about this statement Who told you this exactly ? There are many features in CCleaner - is he/she referring to a specific function ? I've used it with Windows 7 64bit since it came out in 2009, and the new version 4.04 supports Windows 8.1 (which I am testing with the Preview ATM) and it works well . johnoo
It was just a general comment from the company from where I purchased the computer & I thought it best to check before downloading CCleaner to the new M/cIf you have time would you please advise on the advantages of using CC I will then enlighten the company Thanks
Alan2273
I use CC on Win7 & 8, it gets rid of the unwanted temporary files, allows you to keep the registry clean, (although I am not sure of the benefits of registry cleaning). Also it allows you to uninstall programs easily and can speed up your computer by allowing you to select what boots at start up.Along with file finder, easy access to system restore and a drive wiper, it is an essential program in my opinion.
