Using IE 10.Before starting ensured all of the pictures were the correctly aligned, ie Portrait & landscape in correct mode.Made CD played on computer & all OK.Then played on DVD, Panasonic S27, pictures taken in Portrait mode show 90 degrees out of phase.Questions why & how to rectify (other than using “Angle button on Remote”) Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I didn't know you could make a CD using IE10 I took the pictures with a Sony DSC-H20 Should have said that I made the CD using the content from Windows 7. They are jpeg format Yes, the DVD player does accept these formats & all of the pictures are displayed but those taken in Portrait mode are 90 degrees out of phase, ie laying on their side. Generally to rotate I click right on the Mouse & select correct rotation, but in this case for some reason all of the pictures were showing correctly in Win. 7 even though some were in Portrait mode. No, I did not have either of the Programs installed & when I went to install Paint.net it also started to load other Programs like "Full disc Fighter even though I had unchecked this box, hence I aborted. But as I did say on a previous post all of the pictures are showing the correct way up in windows 8 so I think they are correct also when I play the CD I have burnt on another DVD player, a very modern one, the pictures show correctly. Hence I feel that my DVD player some 8 years old is not comparable with windows 8 whilst it was compatible with XP Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

It's a Sony DSC-H20 camera so I thought I would download the Sony Software & use this to move the pictures from the camera to the computer & also to make the CD. On doing this the pictures all show the correct way up on computer & when I play the CD on the computer. But when I play the CD on the Panasonic DVD player the pictures taken in Portrait mode show 90 degrees out of phase. This did not occur in the past when I was using the previous Sony software & XP. As an idea after downloading the pictures to the computer I have tried to "Trick" the DVD player by rotating one of the correctly set up pictures by 90 degrees & then making a CD. Believe it or not it gave the same result as before ie the Portrait mode picture was on its side. Any ideas to solve other than to buy a new DVD player?
