If you have it installed you could try this,

Click Start, Click All Programs, Click IBM Lotus Organizer once. On Dropdown, right-mouse click IBM Lotus Organizer. Open Compatibility mode and check off "Disable desktop composition". Hit apply and OK.

Nothing in drivers, and nothing in playback timing master either when this happened. So, I unplugged the mike and restarted sonar, and now I have input and output drivers! No reason I can see. All is ok on one song, but on another song all the tracks are silent except for the vocal track! Its very trying, all I want to do is record, not fix odd things that seem to happen without a reason, but I also admit I am impatient and that gets me nowhere.

Okay, problems continue..(right forum this time!) I cant open up organiser as it is , I tried right clicking on "troubleshoot compatibility" mode, but basically windows says;

settings applied; windows compatibility mode windows xp service pack 2

you need to start the program to make sure these settings fixed the problem, after running the program using these settings click next to contimue.

please test the program before continuing....but no it still will not run.

I have the cd but that wont run on windows 7 either?

Ideas?

Richie

It doesnt say except its for windows 3.1/95/98. Since last post I thought I'd cracked it.Using a compatibility mode it actually loaded from the CD. But as soon as I tried to open i from the icon, ittold me it was a 45 day trial version(it isnt, I bought it) and then up came a meaningless error message saying something like "message not found" and then it stops working and will not go further. I've spent a few hours on this now, I'm thinking of maybe buying an old pc running '98 and loading it on there. All I want to do is print off my diaries since 2004 and then I'm sorted.

OK Richie, this is a long shot. Just take a look through the post in my link below:

http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/310535/how-to-load-lotus-organizer-21-in-a-new-windows-7-laptop/?p=2549465

Not sure if it will work for you - I can't test it, I don't have Lotus Organiser.

Good luck!

Please let us know if it helps. :)

P.S. It is probably worth uninstalling the previous attempt before trying again.

Revo uninstaller is a useful tool - be sure to select the FREE download (scroll down the page):

As you presumably have your Organiser files backed up, what file format are they ? - see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IBM_Lotus_Organizer

This should help to identify the version that you have.

That page also says

In regard to Windows 7 (32-bit and 64-bit editions), IBM states:

The 32-bit version and 64-bit version of Windows 7 are supported by IBM/Lotus. No major compatibility issues have been reported when running SmartSuite or Organizer on the Windows 7 rawversion
