monkeyhanger
One question: Why does it say at the left that I run Windows 3.1 :(That's just a progression scale. The more posts you make the higher you go through windows. The next leap will be win 95, then 98. God forbid but M.E. is next and then X\P.But if you are like andsome with his massive brain, massive good looks and massive postings. You'd be on windows 2084 :D

-pops-
Firstly, I apologise for causing a ruckus yesterday which some of you will have seen but there have been developments since then and I was given a "final warning" from the editor of another place. I should add that is was totally unconnected with anything happening here.Reviewing what's been happening with me in the few days I have been a member here makes me appear to be some sort of uncontrollable rebel. Well, I'm not! I'm 58 with quite severe heart disease, arthritis and spend some of my time in a wheelchair. It's just that a certain person elsewhere, for reasons best known to himself, has a strong objection to me and anything I write. He also has a strong tendency to misunderstand things and reads meanings into posts which would take an ordinary person a very long time to interpret in the same way. I have been quietly responding and helping to solve people's computer problems at another place for a good long time now and it is only in the recent past that I have had this contretemp going. I have told him exactly what I think of him and his editorship so I don't think I will be invited back.Oh well!!!!C'est la vieBrian

-pops-
Well, it's several days now since I have graced the pages of "the other place" and you could say that I'm missing it as much as I would miss a boil on the nose, not that I've ever had one, that was pure fantasy.Brian

Guest VoGâ„¢
I don't come here as often as I should -pops- and I've been out of the country for a few days but welcome from me too.Several of the members here are aware of my multiple bannings from >that site< for daring to express an opinion. When I questioned >"his"< decision to lock your "Goodbye" thread, after a brief exchange of e-mails I was basically told "leave it, or else". I left it, coward that I am. :D>Sorry about the edit, there are some 'touchy' souls who LURK<

-pops-
When I questioned >"his":DI understand that the quoted thread in the other place has now, not only been locked but, has been removed, along with several other contributions made around that time. There was nothing contentious in my goodbye thread - all it said was "Goodbye, I won't be posting here any more. Best wishes to all those who wish me the same."I also understand there were some other threads started relating to the "Goodbye" thread and these have likewise been removed.Very odd!! Guest VoGâ„¢
As per Northamuk's post they ARE asking. You were highly valued there (even by people that I think that you "told off") and your return would be much appreciated, especially by the "regulars".I appreciate that it would be a "big thing" to do this having resigned in such a public manner but rehabilitation is possible (ask Northy). You could come back under a different user name if you wanted to avoid embarrasment. There are 100,000+ registered members (probably 1% of which visit regularly) and only one that you have had an argument with. Think about it (again) please.
Guest nellie2
As long as people know where to find -pops- I can't see that it matters where he prefers to spend his time. Perhaps the very fact that such an esteemed member is leaving such a big hole will make 'some people' think again in future before taking such a high handed attitude.{edit-sorry, I have tried to stay out of this debate and I don't mean to upset anyone. All intentions are good I know, but it just makes me cross that 'some people' don't realise what a good thing they have going and just don't value or appreciate their members}
