Just a thought if the leader of your faith hasn't moved, breathed, uttered a word or done anything at all for six months he's probably not meditating any longer. If he's begun to whiff to the point that you stick him in a freezer to

ensure his body is preserved

Then I think we can assume he's doing his own very personal version of the holy pythonists "Dead Parrot" Liturgy .

Reading the article it says that his followers put the body in a "commercial" freezer for safe keeping until his return. If that is true, then the body was persevered correctly and there would be some significant damage to the body. That aside, the fact that a court has to decide that the guru is dead or alive is just insane. What about the medical examiners report or the hospital report with the cause of death. None the less, it was an interesting read.

As I understand it the problem the cryogenic industry has is that it's pretty near impossible to thaw out any part of a cadaver that's been frozen as the water in the bodies cells ruptures them when it expands as it becomes ice. If his holiness was alive when they froze him, he almost certainly isn't know. There are certain insects and amphibians that have evolved to survive the process, but no mammals as far as I'm aware. Though I seem to remember Mammoths had a sort of antifreeze in their blood.
