johnoo Posted September 6, 2014 Author Report Share Posted September 6, 2014 Boris, Thanks but I have just done that & both boxes you state are checked.However nothing is showing in the next box "Languages" so I click onto "Download more Dictionaries", go to English UK, Select "Download" & nothing happens!Any ideas of the problem? Lamb Chop Posted September 8, 2014 Report Share Posted September 8, 2014 I've found this problem in Thunderbird for some time now. I fix it by unchecking check spelling whilst typing and then check it again and it works. For a time sometimes have to do it over. Mentioned it on their forums - no replies. Too many lefties on these Mozilla ones who try to make you seem a dumb cluck if you post anything that isn't really geeky. That is one very good reason for coming to this forum :D In fact sick of it updating continually and nags a lot. Errm actually no because i have all those boxers ticked. As I said wont check typo's whilst typing and checked, have to uncheck then recheck and then if lucky will remain red underlined long enough to correct more than one. Does it all the time.
