Mr Turner. What a disappointment

We went to see Mr Turner on Wednesday, having looked forward very much to doing so. I am sorry to say that it was one of the most dull, boring and uninteresting films we have ever had the misfortune to sit through. No where near enough of his paintings were shown. The story was NOT presented in an interesting way at all. There were only two redeeming factors, one was that Timothy Spall played the part very well, and the second was that we purchased our tickets using the Orange Wednesday facility, and so only paid half price. Each to his/her own of course, but in our humble opinions you would be better off keeping your money in your pockets. :ranting:

I haven't ventured anywhere near the local multiplex for years, much of what they release now seems disappointing. Back in the day when car chases involved cars they were exiting now it's all green screen CGI fakery and all you can do is admire the technology, the visceral element is sadly lacking. Add to that the fact that the current crop of "stars" and I use the word loosely aren't fit to step in the boots of Mitchum, Douglas, Bacall etc.
