cinque8 Posted June 2, 2015 Report Share Posted June 2, 2015 Hi, I have a Metro PCS 4G cell phone. Metro PCS is on the T-Mobile network. I have what is supposed to be a Metro PCS 4G service plan, so I wanted to use the WIFI Hotspot feature on the phone to connect my laptop to the Internet. But when I do repeated Speedtest.net speed tests on the phone the highest download speed that I get is about 0.10 Mbps. And this is the speed I get when I do the test in 5 or 6 different locations in the city where I live. Any ideas why my speed is so dreadfully slow? Thanks! Belatucadrus Posted June 2, 2015 Report Share Posted June 2, 2015 Bit of Googling reveals articles criticising Metro PCS for being the slowest 4G provider in the states but they're talking about speeds of 2.4Mbps so 0.1 is clearly something else, what I don't know.
