johnoo Posted August 13, 2015 Author Report Share Posted August 13, 2015 Boris,Thanks for your interest but "Adobe Flash is integrated with Windows 8.1 so I can't do as you suggest.I've also checked & I have the latest flash player 18.0.0.232 (debug version)Also going onto the Adobe check site, when I test the flash player I'm advised it's working correctly.So what do I do now? johnoo Posted August 13, 2015 Author Report Share Posted August 13, 2015 Alan,I have a hunch that this started after I downloaded the last set of Microsoft modifications & security package two days ago.So I don't think doing a restore would work.I could be wrong on this, please say if I am! johnoo Posted August 14, 2015 Author Report Share Posted August 14, 2015 Just found that there has been a security update, KB3087916, for Adobe Flash in Windows 8.1 & there is a problem on it known to Microsoft, details as follows:-Known issues with this security update•After you install this security update on a computer that is running Windows 8.1 or Windows Server 2012 R2, you may receive an error message that resembles any of the following:Adobe Flash PlayerAn ActionScript error has occurred.Note This error does not affect the functionality of the security update. The security update still provides the protection that is described in Microsoft security advisory 2755801.Microsoft is researching this problem and will post more information in this article when the information becomes available.
