Belatucadrus Posted January 16, 2016 Report Share Posted January 16, 2016 Not sure why but I did have to restart it twice before it went back to normal, I assume that several updates each required restart and they couldn't be applied simultaneously. My problem is that after a Microsoft update, I select "Restart" & I get "Restart" showing on the monitor but it just keeps showing for up to 90 minutes, when I get frustrated & switch the power off. Belatucadrus Posted January 16, 2016 Report Share Posted January 16, 2016 After I'd installed the selected updates ( I don't do auto ) I got the message saying I needed to restart, OK nothing new so I did. Having done I checked the update page again as I was still getting the message "There are important updates available". Was surprised to still see the message that a I need to update despite the fact I'd just done it. So I restarted a second time and this time it was back to normal.
