Gustavo Woltmann
My brother in law has brought a DVD player and asked me to connect it up. (the blind leading the blind springs to mind) So I connected the scart lead to the TV, then to the DVD player switched the TV & the DVD on and nothing. So I got the TV manual out and it said to use the AV channel which I did and still nothing, can anyone advise what to do next.
Belatucadrus
TV usually picks up a signal from SCART straight away so the lack of anything is weird only real suggestion is try another SCART cable and make sure they're pushed in fully. What make and model DVD player and TV, more info could prompt a few more suggestions,
andsome
There is usually a right an wrong way of connecting. Have you observed in and out? The ports should be marked.
Gandalph
Also in addition to the already mentioned above you may have to select the input device from an on-screen menu depending on the model of Television you have. A few more details of the telly and DVD would help.
