Lamb Chop
I'm still using W7 on all computers like seemingly millions of others. This one update was supposed to make it easy for W10 to take over etc so why are they still sending it own when its no longer free? Most of the businesspersons I deal with still use W7 too. And have no intention of changing. Support is to 2020 and I suspect beyond as W10 appeals mainly for social use rather than business. MS said 10 is the last OS. Whose will to bet on that! Belatucadrus
Apparently the latest versions of KB2952664 and KB2976978 don't push W10, but are used as a diagnostic to "Fix problems". It does however in some setups seem to cause problems and general advice is if your system is running OK you should hide it and leave well alone. catgate
"......like seemingly millions of others." There are also millions of others who run the more stable and sedate Linux. There are a number of variations, all designed to make their usage less problematical than the "World's Leading" mess. I switched four or five years ago and I would not go back
Belatucadrus
Depends what you want, if it's browsing and word processing then Linux is great, I'm running two Mint systems. If you're a gamer or want to use some Windows specific software I have to admit I'm not a whole hearted convert to Wine as some stuff does not work quite as expected with it. So there's room for both IMNHO.
