You lot won't like this. but as a matter of interest, it is the longest symphony in the world.

Symphony No. 1 ‘The Gothic’ — Havergal Brian

Compared to some of the works featured here, British composer Havergal Brian’s one and three quarter hour-long Symphony No 1. ‘The Gothic’ may seem short but the piece — composed between 1919 and 1927 — actually holds the record for the longest symphony ever written. The symphony would wait more than 30 years for its premiere conducted by Bryan Fairfax in 1961 at Westminster’s Central Hall and it would be a further six years before the composer himself, at the grand age of 90, would first hear his work performed with Adrian Boult as conductor at London’s Royal Albert Hall in 1966.

It surely can not be called "Music".

Granted they are "playing" what we recognise as musical instruments, but the noise they are producing is just noise and nothing else.

There is no "pattern" to their noise, no structure, just  mixed instrument scribble.

It has it's very tuneful and melodic parts, but I agree some of it can be very difficult to listen too. It is also one of the biggest as regards players.  Some years ago, not having heard it all the way through I bought a C.D. It has two full orchestras, seven choirs, and a brass band and four soloists. There are almost 200 players. It is a difficult work to stage as the number of people involved takes up too much space. I believe on  good authority that the first performance was in Hanley town hall Stoke on Trent, his native town.
