andsome
I periodically make score cards for my bowls club. They are saved on a memory stick. The office program I recently downloaded does not have publisher. Does anyone know of a program that will open and run this file please. I would like a free trial for a few days, but am willing after that to pay a modest price.

Boris
Publisher saves as .pub files which are a proprietary Microsoft format. AFAIK nothing other than Publisher itself can save a .pub file. I believe the open source DTP program Scribus (note - I have never tried it) http://sourceforge.net/projects/scribus/files/scribus-devel/1.5.4/ has an import filter for publisher files and can open a .pub file, but cannot save it. Alternatively you could use a file converter like zamzar https://www.zamzar.com/ to convert it in something you can edit (.pdf, .docx or whatever) Publisher 2016 is £109.99 https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/p/publisher-2016/cfq7ttc0k5d0? or Office 365 Personal https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/store/b/office?activetab=tab%3ahomeorpersonal contains Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook, Publisher (PC only), Access (PC only) for a mere £59.99 per year (£5.99 per month)

Belatucadrus
I downloaded a .pub file to play around with, Scribus wouldn't touch it, but LibreOffice opened it in LibreOffice Draw, you can work with it, but it can't save any amendments as a .Pub file. The default format is ODG, which would be a pain if you were sharing the file with other Publisher users but probably OK if you're just doing it for your own use. andsome
I looked at it but got a message that it is an executable file and may contain viruses or malware. I wont risk it but many thanks.

andsome
I don’t know why I didn’t think of it before. I print three side by side on one sheet and then cut them in my guillotine, I will get three from the club, and scan them side by side. I will save as a jpeg and print as usual. I am a dum dum for not thinking of this before. But of course I am an extremely good looking dum dum.
