Whatever religion you are, if you believe in God, then there can only be ONE GOD. Just because other people worship God in a different type of building, wearing different regalia to do so, and a different form of service, and call God, Allah, God or whatever name they choose, does NOT give anyone else the right to slaughter them. At the moment we have protestants and Catholics, fighting each other, Sunni and Shiite Muslims battling it out, Muslims combining in their hatred of Jews, and so on and so on. Religion has caused more wars than any other reason in history. I acknowledge all that has been said about Israeli aggression, but don't forget what a small country they are, surrounded by hostile Muslims, this is why they developed WMD's. It is an argument that will rage on for years, so let's be grateful for the moves from Libya and Iran, and try to encourage North Korea and the others to have a little common sense also. And yet so many wars and so much death has been caused by mans interpretation of these teachings. Almost always this act, for the sake of argument call it war, is solely to massage the ego of some very warped individual or, historically more often, to force feed some superstition called religion on a people who are not interested. There's too much of that in this World - and on this forum. And if religion wasn't a convenient excuse for the extremists, they would find something else to fight about.Thank God that the democratic western countries have the lion's share of weapons of mass destruction. I would hate to think what might happen if the likes of Gaddafi and Saddam (murdering gits) had the upper hand. Jack Straw calls Gaddafi a statesman for his decision to allow inspections of WMD. What a t*****r Straw is! What about those who have died at Gaddafi's hands? It makes my blood boil when politicians take the convenient way out and fail to uphold truth and honour.
