nellie2
The guys at a² have just finished the online checker. In fact the test does the following things:1. Portscans of the well known ports (application and trojan ports)2. Checks the browser for several hijackers and downloaders used by Dialers3. Checks the windows network if there are shares available to the internet.4. Tries to collect as much information about you as possible and displays them.5. Checks for enabled active scripting and other potential dangerous browser technologies. What do you think about? Any suggestions or thoughts? What do you like or dislike? Give the guys some feedback I think they would appreciate it.online checka² forum

Boris
My results (with ZA deactivated) :-Was a bit slow (on dial-up) and some of the output could be better explained ?Don't forget though - Mr Haak is Austrian ! :D
trackrat
It would be more interesting with a better explanation also you have to disable the firewall to run it.

Chris
A port that is closed is a port that can be opened. These ports can be seen on the internet by other computers that scan your IP.You all have two Highlights on the browser test = Dont worry about it.Rowdy = Using a firewall there?Damo = ZA will [should] STEALTH all of your ports!!trackrat = http://www.grc.com/dcom/intro.htm http://www.grc.com/UnPnP/UnPnP.htmAndsome = Firewall on there?Ports 8080 and 80 are connected with MSIE. andsome
Second scan, and Firewall is DEFINITELY off
andsome
Third scan with Firewall and AV off. I just wish that they gave more explanation. It is obviously a good idea, but the results tell the average person very little.
