expertec Posted February 27, 2004 Report Share Posted February 27, 2004 I don't think it will work with firefoxThe program installs as a new button in the IE toolbar (as well as a new menu item under "Tools") - after filling in a form, just hit the ieSpell button and it pops up a dialog, similar to the MS Word spell check. ieSpell also works (right-click menu only) on other IE based browsers such as SlimBrowser, CrazyBrowser, MSN, MyIE, etc. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

-pops- Posted March 1, 2004 Author Report Share Posted March 1, 2004 Well, I've been using eprompter for several days now and I'm going to keep it.Slightly less convenient than Mailwasher but with the huge advantage of checking multiple accounts without paying for a souped up version.It seems to be quite new and all sorts of improvements are said to be in the pipeline but, the important thing is that it does what it claims.Very happy with it. :) :) :) Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Any mail in there requires "one look" if they do not register with me the whole folder gets deleted. Errrr the same doing that with Mailwasher eh?I have message RULES this mail to that folder etc.An updated AV with scanning incoming email protection should be enough - The preview pane in OE whilst said to be security risk i think maybe a little OTT. Any AV should be able to cope and the majority of viruses have to be clicked to be released...*Sigh*The rest take advantge of exploits that OE or Outlook has hower with updated version of the said, it should not worry you.Of course Mailwasher has its fans but i dont see the point in it :huh: Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I have only had to tell it a few times what I consider to be spam, and that was the first couple of times that I ran it. After that it seems to be learning very fast!Pops- IE spell doesn't work with Firefox. My problems (above) were typos where my fingers were working faster than my brain and automatically typing the wrong words (but they were spelled correctly!)Powerless - there is more to spam emails than viruses and I prefer the junk be deleted before it reaches my machine.
