As some of you know my computer is not working and when i open folders nothing appers but the files are actually there. i finally gave up trying to fix it as mark 2 tryied to fix it but there was no way eexcept formating which i do not want to do because of my brothers important A/S level course work files which i will back up eventually.

But back to the point... my computer is running out of space quickly and i cannot get into add/remove programs and i was wondering if there was a comand prompt for it i was going to google it but i decided to see if anyone here could easily tell me if there was

Windows 2000/XP

Click Start.

Click Run.

Type in cmd in the Open field and click OK.

That will open a black command prompt window. Click into the black window so you can type commands in.

Tips

You can see a list of all the commands usable in a command line by typing in Help and pressing the Enter key on your keyboard.

You can view information page by page by adding a space and then | more to the end of most commands. The | symbol is called a Pipe and is generated by pressing Shift and \

Every command you enter in a command line should be followed by pressing the Enter key on your keyboard.

You can make the command window full screen or windowed by using the key combination ALT and ENTER.

You can close the command prompt by typing in Exit.

Start, Run, Type:

appwiz

Click OK.

If the above does not work type:

appwiz.cpl

Click OK.

If the above does not work go to Search and enter the keyword:

*.cpl

Start the search and click the found files and one of them should popup the add/remove. (assuming search works)
