andsome
Diskeeper defrags faster. If you buy the full version for about £19, you can set it to monitor in the background, and it keeps all hard drives at 100%. You can also set the occasional 'Boot Time Defrag', and your computer will fly. The Boot Time Defrag take about twenty minutes on my computer, and I do it about once a month. Agent Smith
Blink, Winrar is a file compression utility like Winzip, and like Winzip it is NOT free. You can download a trial version from their website RarlabIf you want a free compression utility, then may I suggest something like UltimateZip available here UltimateZip or the one I use, ZipGenius from here Zip GeniusRegards. -pops-
I've been building machines for years now and I have rarely noticed any increase in speeds when "upping" from one CPU speed to the next or the next. Obviously there is an increase but it is not really apparent as things are going so fast anyway - faster than a speeding bullet, even. However, when I go back to an ancient machine with a 100MHz CPU, as I recently have done just to look at it, it just crawls along and I wonder how I had the patience to use the thing in the first place.Personally, I wouldn't bother with what you suggest as, not only will there be a minimal change that you will be able to notice, there is the distinct possibility of messing up your whole machine so that not only does it not go at 2600, it doesn't go at all. Guest ellas
blink winrar is a very useful tool and in my opinion better than winzip for compressing large files.
