Agent Smith Posted March 24, 2004 Report Share Posted March 24, 2004 Hmmm, this does not sound too good :( Sorry, welcome to the Forum pwp :D .I would suggest that you make sure you have the most upto date bios installed for your mobo, then ensure that all the settings seem correct for the graphics in the bios itself.Next, go into device manager, and remove the graphics card. Agent Smith Posted March 24, 2004 Report Share Posted March 24, 2004 Sorry Bill, I missed that comment.Only a really bad cold, been suffering with a sore throat for 2 weeks, but it finally broke out last night. Should be much better tomorrow :D I suspect the issue here, is that some of the files have been deleted. I would suggest sourcing fresh downloads for both the motherboard and graphics adaptor. I would also check that DirectX is ok, best way to do this, is to hit windows update and install the latest version from there. The graphics chip is an ATI 3D 128 VR.The only download I can find for this at ATI is this one, Click Here , BUT I'm not 100% sure it is the correct one.Personally if it was me, I would download this and see if it works, but I will leave it up to you.I don't suppose you have still got the discs which came with the comp/mobo do you? Microsoft used to be pretty good with ATI drivers on their Windows Update site, but you will need to have the card installed as an ATI first.Mr. M. Agent Smith Posted March 25, 2004 Report Share Posted March 25, 2004 I really think that the problem you have here is not actually with the graphics or graphics drivers, but that somehow some of the chipset drivers have been deleted.Are there any drivers on the cd for the chipset or mobo?
