Worried about your CPU overheating ?

Useful? Yes, thanks but:

Before anyone gets too paranoid about checking their CPU temperatures every few minutes thinking their machine is about to catch fire, remember that most modern CPUs will shut dowm to protect themselves from self destruction before the danger level is reached. :)

The only times I check temperatures on machines I've built are: a few times in the first few days of running when I'm "soak" testing and after that, only if the machine frequently shuts down on it own volition.

Very useful info. When I had my computer built in Jan 2003, for less than £30 I had PC Doctor put in one of the front slots. This shows CPU, HDD and SYS temperatures constantly. The hottest that my CPU has reached was 44 degrees in last summers heat.
