Some analysts believe the appointment means that the much-criticized browser will get a polish before the next major version of the Windows operating system, Longhorn, is released and IE's importance begins to fade.Dave Massy, a technical evangelist at Microsoft, worked on the early development of IE but moved to the Longhorn team a few years ago--at around the same time the company won the war against Netscape and appeared to lose interest in dramatically changing its browser. Scarecrow Man Posted June 23, 2004 Report Share Posted June 23, 2004 No offence to other browswer users, but it seems with IE's seemless integration with windows, ie the windows update, bho's, active x (which is sometimes bad...) and other features currently out, it makes the most sense to use.
