I would suggest a kids forum, where you could use all the text speak and mis-spelling that you want. I think that most of the adults like this forum as it is. catgate Posted June 24, 2004 Report Share Posted June 24, 2004 It is strange how many contributors, not just to this forum but to most others, seem to have no concept of punctuation and grammar, and seem to believe that it is up to the reader to struggle with deciphering it all, in order to have the privilege of receiving the contribution. Punctuation and grammar are just as necessary for correct reading as is the white of the page upon which the black letters are written. Spelling is another matter that is not all it could be, but then quite a lot seems to originate from mis-typing...small buttons and big fingers! In all honesty I frequently have difficulty in understanding just what you are trying to say. It isn't just text speak, it is also a strange mixture of text speak, deliberate misspelling and garble. Anyone can make a mistake, but you appear at times to deliberately speak in some strange language of your own. Yeah i do sometimes use text speak the odd letter U and maybe an @. So you are telling me you need to read over it twice to make them out. Give me a break will you jeezus christ. People prob think im trying to live up to my name.....well im not really i got this name when i first got the internet on a Bush Set top box, i needed a name to go in the chatroom , so i looked around and @ the time had a Star Wars Rebel Assault poster on the wall so i used that.
