mark2
ME has decided not to recognise the CDrom, It's seen in the Bios and I can boot from it,but device mangler denies all knowledge of it, it's not visible in windows !! I've tried checking cables, removing it, rebooting without it, then installing and rebooting all with no joy.anybody have any further suggestions ? expertec
You shouldn't need drivers for a CD drive in windows. :(

Scarecrow Man
You shouldn't need drivers for a CD drive in windows. :(That's what I thought..I had the same problem, but the cable was not plugged in properly, you've checked all the innards? (jumpers, power, IDE cable etc)
mark2
I had the same problem, but the cable was not plugged in properly, you've checked all the innards? (jumpers, power, IDE cable etc)All appear to be present and correct, will give it another going over tomorrow, but as it's all recognised in the bios, I have my doubts :(
