pwp Posted September 22, 2004 Author Report Share Posted September 22, 2004 hi cc the drive is a liteon ldw811s and is capable of writing at 8x it just wont recognise this and writes at 1x.drive is oem no instructions.other discs work at 4x but that is there max speed. If not - you might well wreck your burner.For example - with my LG drive - I have to connect it to the ribbon cable as the master - and not the slave as it is currently - before writing the firmware update.Be brave - but be jolly careful.
