andsome
This is a tragic case, and the judge had to make a very difficult decision. I personally feel that as the baby has no sight and no hearing, and is at times exhibiting signs of severe pain, that nature should be allowed to take it's course. I personally feel that everything possible should be done to keep her pain free, but if she stops breathing again, she should be allowed to die in peace. I feel so dreadfully sorry for her parents and family at this time, and hope that in the fullness of time, they will accept the decision.
artist
I think the decision is right. I feel for the parents - but really, what quality of life could the little mite expect.Sad case all round.

andsome
Yes. I won't do a big speech why though. Sorry andsome ;)Big speeches not needed. This is a very tragic case, and the whole country's thoughts have been with the parents. I think that the judge had a terrible job, but it appears to be the general consensus that he made the right decision.
cpuguru
This is a very unfortunate set of circumstances. Very sad situation :(I think the infant should be given every chance possible and if she will not have a reasonable chance of survival or a decent life then she should be allowed to die in peace. I am glad that your judges over there have enough resolve to make such a difficult decision. Over here our judges are typically weak kneed and would just go with the easiest possible deicison here.
